Appeal After Fatal Crash Near Walcote

Harborough Police are appealing for witnesses after a pensioner was killed in crash near Walcote on Monday.

The woman, aged 71, was driving a silver Kia Sorrento that left South Kilworth Road at around 2.10pm and ended up in a ditch.

She was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

No other vehicles were involved.

Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was travelling along the road around the time and may have dash-cam footage.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 265 of 16 March.

The road was closed for several hours while emergency services responded at the scene.
