Motorcyclist injured in A14 crash near Rothwell

A motorcyclist suffered a suspected leg injury following a crash on the A14 near Rothwell early morning.

Emergency services were called at around 6.30am after a collision involving a van and a motorbike on the westbound carriageway between junctions four and three.

The incident blocked lane one for several hours, leading to lengthy queues for drivers travelling through the area.

The motorcyclist was treated for a suspected leg injury. No further details about their condition have been released.

Police remained at the scene while one of the vehicles awaited recovery.

The road has since reopened following recovery of the vehicles and clearance of the scene.
