More Drivers Caught Speeding At Over 100mph On A6 ‘Mad Mile’

More drivers were caught speeding on a stretch of the A6 bypass dubbed the ‘mad mile’ by Police.

One was stopped for travelling at 120mph and another caught doing 107mph during the enforcement operation between Great Glen and Kibworth yesterday.

Both, together with others stopped by officers, have been reported and are likely to now face a Court appearance.

Speed checks were carried out on the A6 yesterday

There are on-going calls for fixed speed cameras there, as Police are regularly catching drivers at very high speeds.

In June, one was stopped for travelling at 132mph – the highest ever speed recorded during checks on the bypass.
