Men Plead Guilty To Sheep Killings

Written by on 14th February 2020

Two men have admitted the illegal slaughtering of up to 350 sheep and lambs across Northamptonshire, including in Kelmarsh, Clipston and Welford.

Robert Iordan, 23 and Florin Nutu, 35, had initially denied conspiracy to steal, in relation to the illegal butchery of animals between June and October last year, but today changed their pleas at Northampton Crown Court.

The men from Birmingham will be sentenced next month, following the trial of a third man, Viorel Manu, 38, also from Birmingham, who denies his involvement in the killings.

They were remanded back into custody.
