Three men have appeared at Crown Court accused of illegally slaughtering sheep and lambs across Northamptonshire, including in fields at Kelmarsh, Clipston and Welford.
Robert Iordan, 23, Florin Nutu, 35 and Voirel Manu, 38, all from Birmingham, are charged with conspiracy to steal, in relation to the illegal butchery of animals between June and October this year.
No pleas were entered and all the men were remanded back into custody ahead of their next Court appearance next month.
Prosecutors told Northampton Crown Court that up to 350 sheep and lambs were killed and suffered a painful death as a result, causing distress to the animals, farmers and the public.
