Meeting Called Over Continued Water Supply Problems

Written by on 28th August 2018

Harborough Council is calling for a meeting with Severn Trent Water over continued problems with water supplies in Kibworth.

There have been a number of outages in the past month caused by burst pipes – the latest yesterday when a previously repaired main on the High Street burst again – leaving some properties with no water or low pressure.

Last week another burst left some people without water for over nine hours.

Harborough Council has written to the company expressing its concerns and demanding further information about the issues.

But a Severn Trent spokesman has told HFM there is no underlying cause and the bursts aren’t connected.

The firm is apologising for the problems and reassuring customers there is not a wider issue.
