Market Trader Issues Ultimatum To Thief

A trader at Harborough Market has issued an ultimatum to a thief who stole from his stall yesterday afternoon.

The man, who was captured on CCTV, took a second-hand Xbox series S games console worth £180 from the Retrovintia stall between 1.30pm and 2pm.

Business owner Sam, a former Police officer, has given him until the end of tomorrow to either pay for or return the item – before taking the matter further.

He has posted a CCTV image and other information of social media and said: “I get it is hard out there these days, but that also applies to us small independent traders who rely on quite small profit margins to make a living.

“I am not unreasonable hence you have till end of play (4pm) Tuesday to do the right thing without any consequences.”
