Market Harborough Volunteer Named As ‘Coronation Champion’

An outstanding volunteer from Market Harborough has been named one of the nation’s Coronation Champions.

Kimberley Durham is among just 500 winners selected from 5,000 nominations across the UK to be recognised by the King and Queen consort, as part of their official Coronation celebrations.

The Coronation Champion Awards celebrate extraordinary volunteers across the country who have made significant contributions to their local communities.

Kimberley co-founded the Harborough Woodland volunteers, who have planted more than 34,000 trees locally since 2020 and also launched the Greener School Groups for teachers, which is supported by nearly 30 schools.

She will attend the Windsor Castle Coronation Concert on Sunday as part of her prize, but only discovered the invite yesterday after it dropped into her email’s ‘junk folder’.
