Market Harborough Town Council Plan Moves to Next Stage

Plans to create a town council for Market Harborough have moved a step closer.
Harborough District councillors have unanimously agreed to progress the proposal to a second phase of consultation, following strong support from residents during the initial consultation.
The next stage will focus on the technical details of establishing the new council, including the number of councillors it should have and how the area could be divided into wards for representation.
A public consultation will begin next week, with further details to be announced by the council shortly.
