Man Questioned On Suspicion Of Assaulting Off-Duty PC

A man arrested after members of the public went to the aid of an off-duty Police officer in Market Harborough on Friday has been released pending further enquiries.

The 48-year-old from Lutterworth was questioned on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker following the incident on Coventry Road when a suspected stolen car was stopped.

He was arrested in the Welland Park Road area shortly afterwards.
