Man Dies After Crash On A14 Nr Welford

A man’s died after a crash between a lorry and van on the A14 near Welford this morning.
He was a passenger in a VW Crafter Van that was involved in collision with a Renault lorry on the eastbound carriageway, near Junction 1, just before 5.30am.
The driver and another passenger in the van were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The carriageway was closed for several hours while Police investigation work was carried out but has now re-opened.
