Man Denies Blackmail & Attempt Robbery

A man accused of blackmailing and attempting to rob another man in Market Harborough will go on trial next year.

The 32-year-old from Corby is accused of making an unwarranted demand of £1000, with a threat and use of violence with menaces and attempting to rob the man of £150.

He pleaded not guilty to both charges at Leicester Crown Court and was released on conditional bail.

A provisional trial date was set for August 2026.
