Man Charged After Police Officer Attacked

A man from Desborough has been charged after a Police officer was attacked and injured.
Marshall John Coe, 40, of Neuville Way, is accused of wounding with intent and possession of an air weapon with intent to cause fear of violence.
A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Police said: “Officers were called to reports of an incident in Neuville Way at about 5.20pm on Friday.
“While dealing with it a male officer was assaulted and had to be taken to Kettering General Hospital for treatment.”
Coe has appeared before Magistrates and has been remanded in custody to appear before Northampton Crown Court next month.
