Man Charged After High-Speed Police Pursuit Through Harborough Villages

A man has been charged after a high-speed Police pursuit through Harborough villages.
It follows an incident on Wednesday evening when the driver of a Ford Transit van failed to stop for Police in Wistow and was then pursued by officers for 25 minutes.
James Ward, 33, of Ocean Road in Leicester is accused of eight offences:
- Possessing a controlled drug of Class B – Cannabis
- Using a motor vehicle on a road/public place without third party insurance
- Driving a motor vehicle dangerously
- Failing to stop
- Fraudulently use a registration mark/registration document
- Driving whilst disqualified
- Failing to provide specimen
- Criminal damage
He has been remanded to appear at Leicester Magistrates’ Court.
A 30-year-old man, who was also arrested, has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
