Litter Lout Caught Red Handed By New Council Patrols

A man has been fined £150 after being caught red-handed throwing litter out of his car window near Lutterworth.
He was spotted by Council Enviro-Crime officers, who were patrolling the A426 as part of a new campaign to clampdown on litter louts dropping rubbish on roads and laybys.
Harborough District Council have issued the driver a fixed penalty notice for littering.
Cllr Jonathan Bateman, Cabinet lead for Environment and Waste, told Hfm they won’t hesitate to fine people:
