Leicestershire Police Recruitment Drive

Written by on 5th September 2019

There could soon be more Bobbies on the beat again in the Harborough
area thanks to a new recruitment drive by Leicestershire Police being
launched on Monday.

It’s looking to attract non-graduates, graduates and career changers
from diverse backgrounds to a job in the police service.

Between now and 2024, the force says it needs to recruit nearly 600
officers – but is still waiting to hear how many of the 20,000 new posts
recently announced by the Prime Minister will come to Leicestershire.

Chief Constable Simon Cole told HFM the extra funding to boost police
numbers is most welcome and will hopefully mean more officers for Market
Harborough and the surrounding district.
