Large Hole Leaves Shop With No Trade
Written by HFM News on 9th July 2025
Electricity bosses have been criticised for leaving a large hole outside a shop in Market Harborough.
It has led to customers being unable to access Phone Set Up on the High Street.
National Grid were due to reinstate the pavement or create a temporary walkway to the shop yesterday, but no-one turned up.
The hole was dug on Monday when emergency repairs were carried out to a cable following a power cut.
Syed Kazmi, manager of the phone repair shop, told HFM he has had no trade for two days after first being forced to shut during the power outage:

The neighbouring Anand Shoes shop has also experienced a dip in trade due to the pavement outside being closed.
National Grid Electrical Distribution has been approached for comment.
