Kettering Rd To Re-Open For Car Show
Written by HFM News on 5th July 2019
Kettering Road in Little Bowden is to be temporarily re-opened at the railway bridge for Sunday’s Classic Car Show in Market Harborough.
Severn Trent Water has made the decision amid fears of major gridlock, with around 25,000 people expected to attend the event.
The company was contacted by Harborough Council earlier this week following on-going congestion because of the closure and has been able to get slightly ahead with work there, meaning the road can be re-opened for a short period.
Severn Trent say signs and barriers will be visible still, but the road will definitely be open.
It’s likely the road will re-open on Saturday evening and shut again before the Monday morning rush-hour.
