Western Power Distribution has apologised after power cuts affected over a thousand homes and businesses in the Hfm Region last night.
A high voltage cable fault caused the outage in the Kibworth area just before 8pm, with the majority of supplies restored by 9pm.
Meanwhile, a fault with an overhead pylon left people in the Arnesby, Shersby and Peatling Parva areas with no electricity from 8.20pm, some did not get their supply back for four hours.
A spokesman told Hfm work is continuing today to trace the fault cable in the Kibworth area and make repairs to the pylon near Arnesby.
