Health Campaigners To Hold Protest In Market Harborough

Health campaigners will hold a protest in Market Harborough town centre on Saturday calling on the government to invest more in the NHS.

The Save Our NHS Leicestershire and Campaign Against NHS Privatisation groups will gather on The Square from midday, as part of a national day of action.

They are calling for a £20 billion investment in the NHS, to help slash long waiting times and improve staffing levels.

The groups also want a pay rise for all NHS and care workers and, locally, a firm commitment from the Government to fund in full Leicester’s hospital reorganisation scheme with enough beds and space to “future proof” it.
