Written by on 24th February 2022

Leicestershire County Council has approved a 3% cent rise in its share of council tax.

It means people living in a Band D property across Harborough will pay an extra £42.30 a year, taking the authority’s share of the bill to over £1,400.

The Council says the increase will help fund key services, including children’s social care, public health, transport and education.

Harborough District Council is set to approve an increase in its share of council tax at a meeting tonight, while the annual amount residents pay for Policing is increasing by £10.
