Harborough Teenagers Celebrate ‘Outstanding’ GCSE Results

Teenagers in Market Harborough are celebrating achieving good GCSE results.
They were the first to sit exams again since Covid and are being praised for the way they continued to learn despite disruption caused by the pandemic.
Students at Welland Park Academy achieved the school’s best ever set of results, while results at Robert Smyth Academy have been described as ‘outstanding.’

Despite the disruption to the GCSE courses caused by the pandemic, more students than ever at Welland Park Academy secured high grades not just in the core subjects of English and maths but 44% of music students achieved grade 9 and 36% of students for PE achieved grade 9.
