Harborough Set For New State-Of-The-Art Sports Pitch

Plans for a new flood-lit all-weather sports pitch at Robert Smyth Academy is Market Harborough have moved forward.

A planning application for the facility, which would also be used by the town’s hockey club and made available to other community groups, has been submitted.

The Academy has received grants to help pay for it, including £370,000 from Harborough Council’s Section 106 fund, that uses cash from developers towards community facilities.

Dan Cleary is Principal at Robert Smyth:

If approved it would be built on part of the school field.
