Thieves Steal ATM After Ram-Raid In Broughton Astley

Thieves have stolen the cash machine from the Spar Shop in Broughton Astley after a ram-raid early this morning.
They used a Mitsubishi L200 pick-up truck, that had been stolen from a farm in Mowsley, to smash their way into the store on Main Street just before 1.30am, causing major damage.
They free-standing ATM was then loaded into another vehicle – described as a dark, five-door, before the gang of men fled the scene.
The pick-up was left at the scene and has since been recovered.
Police would like to speak to anyone who has information regarding the incident.
PC Lewis Marsh, the investigating officer, said: “Enquiries into the incident are continuing this morning. We believe that four men were involved.
“I would like to speak to anyone who lives or owns a business in or around Main Street and has CCTV installed at their premises. Did you see or hear anything that arose suspicion in the early hours of this morning? Did you see the pickup truck or another vehicle?
“I would also like to speak to anyone who was driving in Broughton Astley in the early hours of this morning and who has a dashcam in their vehicle. Any information you have could help my investigation.”
