The families of three people killed in a house fire in Rushton have warned the public not to donate to online fundraising pages in their memory.

Emma Conn and her four-year-old daughter Mayci Fox from Desborough and Louie Thorn from Rushton all tragically died in the blaze last Friday.

Northamptonshire Police have issued a statement on behalf of the families.

It says: “Having liaised between our families, we can confirm that we have not and will not be setting up any fundraising pages in memory of Emma, Mayci or Louie.

“Any pages showing their photos and/or names are going against our express wishes.

“We really appreciate that people would want to donate or offer help, but we do not want anyone to send money in good faith to a fundraiser we are not involved in.”

Police have deemed the fire to have been ‘non suspicious’ and what caused it remains under investigation.
