Funding Approved For £9m Expansion Of Harborough Business Park

The major expansion of a Market Harborough business park is a step closer, after funding totalling £9.5m was approved.
Leicestershire County Council will now submit a planning application for the development, which has the potential to create hundreds of jobs.
34 new commercial units will be built at Airfield Business Park, off the B6047 Harborough Road, if permission is granted.
The units, which will vary is size between 1,500 and 10,000 sq ft.
The County Council’s Cabinet approved funding for the expansion, after hearing income through rent, estimated to total £787,000 when fully occupied, will raise vital cash to support front-line services.
Twelve units opened on the site in 2019 – ten are now occupied.
If planning permission is granted by Harborough District Council., construction is likely to start early next year.
