Friends Start Mammoth Canoe Challenge

Two friends who built their own canoes as ‘something to do’ during lockdown have set off on a 125 mile challenge today.
Tim Peacock and Ian Shipley are paddling all the way up the canal from London to North Kilworth – and aim to complete the challenge in eleven days.

The duo are aiming to raise £4,000 in support of Kilworth House Hotel & Theatre’s nominated charity for 2020 – Cancer Research UK – after the Coronavirus put a stop to the venue’s own fundraisers.
They have already rasied over £1,700 in sponsorship and Tim, from Market Harborough, spoke to Hfm:
