Free Christmas Trees For High St Independent Traders

All independent traders on Market Harborough’s High Street are being offered free lit Christmas Trees above their shops this year.

Harborough Council is funding it and is working with the Market Harborough Chamber of Trade and Commerce to try and get as many trees up as possible on the main thoroughfare through the town centre, which is most likely to bring people passing through, into the town to shop.

Earlier this week – it announced it would be paying for trees in Church Street – because the traditional lights aren’t going up there this year.

Shops and businesses that want one need to act fast though and take up the offer by Monday.

Traders wanting a tree should contact Harborough-based Alden Electrical, the contractor erecting them on 01858 431771.

Those who have already paid for a tree, through the Chamber Of Trade subsidised scheme, will get a refund.
