Former Harborough Entertainer Has Jail Term Increased For Child Sex Offences

A Market Harborough man jailed for sexually abusing children has had his sentence increased after admitting historical offences.

Robin Maughan appeared at Leicester Crown Court yesterday, after pleading guilty to two charges of sexual activity with a child between November 2004 and June 2005.

The 42-year-old former entertainer is already serving a 12 year jail-term handed down in 2018, after first being sentenced in 2016; and will now spend an additional 18 months behind bars.

He was also placed on the sex offenders’ register for seven years and on a Barred List, preventing him from working with children.

When first jailed, Leicestershire Police said they believed Maughan may have abused more victims and urged others to get in touch.
