A Flood Alert has been issued for rivers in the Harborough area following heavy rainfall and melting snow and ice in the last 24 hours.
Water levels have risen in the River Welland through Market Harborough, the River Jordan, from Braybrooke through Little Bowden to the town.
Some pathways adjacent to the river in Welland Park are flooded.

A spokesperson for the Environment Agency said: “Over the last 24 hours we have seen heavy rainfall in the River Welland catchment area.
“This means that the River Welland and River Jordan are now rising, which will lead to flooding of low-lying land and roads close to the river from the morning of Monday 6th January 2025 onwards.
“We expect the river to remain high throughout the next few days and flooding to gardens, driveways or outhouses is possible close to the river.
“Our forecasts indicate that flooding inside properties isn’t likely and therefore flood warnings are not expected to be issued.
“Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.”
