Eight-year-old Flo Wright is raising money for Oxendon House care home in Great Oxendon with a walking challenge in the Peak District.
Flo is a regular visitor to the residents during weekends and school holidays, helping with activities like dominoes, art, reading — and her favourite, baking.

Flo is to take on a big walking challenge
She even helped wrap the residents’ Christmas presents. “All of the residents and staff always ask when I’m coming back next and I always say, ‘As soon as I can!’” she said.
To support the care home’s activity fund, Flo and her mum will tackle a six-mile circular walk from Castleton to Mam Tor in the Peak District, reaching 517 metres above sea level at the highest point. “It’s a good job I’m not afraid of heights!” she added.
Flo has set a fundraising target of £250, saying: “If we get more donations than that, even better!”
