Firms Urged To Get Involved With Harborough Jobs Week

Firms across the District are being urged to get involved with the first ever Harborough Jobs Week which aims to help people made unemployed by the pandemic.
It’ll run from March 22nd to promote vacancies and support available for people searching for work, including webinars offering advice on things like writing CVs and job applications.
Companies can contact the District Council, which running the initiative, together with Job Centre Plus and the Department for Work and Pensions, to get their vacancies featured.
Latest figures show over 1,800 people across Harborough are unemployed – more than double the figure before the first lockdown last year.
Cllr Phil King, Leader of Harborough District Council said: “This is an excellent opportunity for local businesses to reach a pool of potential local candidates and fill their vacancies.
“I really hope all sizes of local businesses will engage with this exciting inaugural event.”
