Family Pays Tribute To Market Harborough Student

The family of a Market Harborough student have paid tribute following his death in Lincoln.

The body of Connor Calleja was found in water on Tuesday after he went missing in the early hours of Sunday.

Connor was studying architecture at the University of Lincoln and in a statement, his family described the 20-year-old as “an incredibly kind and loyal person” with “an infectious laugh and a great sense of humour.”

They said he was hardworking, committed to everything he did, and “genuinely happy with where his life was.”

The statement added that Connor loved football, particularly Chelsea, enjoyed music, and had a passion for architecture. “He had big dreams and aspirations. He wanted to design his own house and start his own company,” his family said.

They described him as fiercely loyal to friends and family, “smart, kind, and growing in confidence every day,” and said he brought joy to everyone around him.

Connor’s family expressed gratitude for the support they have received during this heartbreaking time, adding: “We are so incredibly proud of him and that will stay with us forever.”

Police said there were believed to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
