Extra Support For Harborough Litter-Picking ‘Wombles’

Volunteers who help keep Market Harborough and its surrounds clean and tidy are being offered extra support.

Litter picking groups, often called ‘Wombles’, can apply for extra-long litter pickers to reach under bushes and hedgerows, hi-viz waistcoats and road signs to warn drivers they’re working ahead.

Leicestershire County Council is behind the initiative, as a way of thanking volunteers for what they do.
