Driver Freed After Crash In Great Bowden

A woman was taken to hospital as a precaution following a crash in Great Bowden this morning.

It happened on Station Road just after 11.20am and involved two cars – a Mazda and a Ford Fiesta, which was parked.

The driver of the Mazda was freed by firefighters after being left trapped following the collision.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Our crew from Market Harborough attended, and found a person trapped inside one of the vehicles.

“Our crew made the vehicle safe and cut free the casualty, who was then handed over to our colleagues from East Midlands Ambulance Service for assessment.”

The road was blocked for a time following the crash no-one else was injured.
