Desborough’s Former Police Base On Sale For £250,000

The former Police base in Desborough has been put up for sale for £250,000.

Officers stopped using the premises on Federation Avenue earlier this year, after they were deemed ‘surplus to requirements.’

The Northamptonshire force said the building was only used as a ‘drop-in site’ and has no operational officers assigned to it.

Agents marketing the two-storey property say: “Although most recently used as offices, as a residential property this would be a three bedroom detached house with three reception rooms, fitted kitchen with utility area with downstairs WC and a first floor bathroom.”

A review of other Police and Fire service buildings in the county is on-going, after it was ordered by Northamptonshire’s Police and Fire Commissioner, in light of increased running and maintenance costs.
