Councils To Be Scrapped

All Northamptonshire councils are to be scrapped in favour of two new Unitary authorities.
The government’s confirmed this afternoon the County Council and seven district and boroughs will be replaced in April 2021.
One of the new Councils will cover Kettering, Corby, Wellingborough and East Northants – the other Daventry, Northampton and South Northants.
The decision follows the cash-crisis at the County Council.
