CCTV Boost For Southern Estate

A CCTV camera has been installed on the Southern Estate in Market Harborough.

It follows a call by Police, following an increase in crime and antisocial behaviour in the area around the shops on Western Avenue.

Earlier this year thieves blew up the free-standing cash machine in the area steal money – garages have also been targeted by thieves and there was an attempt to break-into the Royalist pub.

The camera has been installed by Harborough Council, initially as a temporary measure, after working with the pub on Western Avenue, to place in on the side of the premises.
