Council Moves Forward with New Developer Levy to Fund Infrastructure

Harborough District Council is pressing ahead with plans to introduce a new charge on developers to help pay for infrastructure improvements.
The authority’s cabinet has backed further work on bringing in a Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL).

If approved, the payments could help fund new roads, schools, health services and leisure facilities, alongside existing Section 106 agreements.
