Written by HFM News on 26th October 2020
Local businesses and community groups are doing their bit to make sure disadvantaged children don’t go hungry.
It comes after the Government blocked a bid to provide free meals during holidays, despite a big campaign from footballer Marcus Rashford.
The half-term break for schoolchildren in Leicestershire was last week and started today in Northamptonshire today.
John Ross and Son Butchers at Harborough Market are funding free children’s meals at the market cafe from tomorrow until Saturday, with Marcus Rashford tweeting about the initiative.
