Church St Xmas Lights To Return!
Written by HFM News on 14th August 2019
The traditional cross-street Christmas lights are returning to Market Harborough’s Church Street.
There was outcry when they weren’t erected last year because of changes to health and safety legislation, with over 1,400 people signing a petition.

New electrical installations and brackets will now be installed by Harborough Council, enabling the displays to go up again.
Amber Lucas, owner of Gardner’s Cakery on Church Street, helped lead the campaign and spoke to Hfm:
Church Street will be shut to traffic on five Sundays between August 25th and October 13th to enable the work to take place.
