Plans have been announced to convert the former Methodist Church in Husbands Bosworth into a house.
The chapel on Welford Road closed in May 2019 due to a dwindling congregation, before being put up for sale.

A planning application has been lodged with Harborough District Council for the change of use of the building.
A statement accompanying it reads: “Local people and the wider community are likely to anticipate a change of use following the chapel’s fall into disuse.
“It is also assumed that a conversion of this long-established building would be preferable to demolition in the eyes of the local community.
“The building work ensuing would undoubtedly provide employment for local professionals and construction workers; and future occupants would contribute to the local economy.
“The building’s long-term operation and maintenance would also generate economic benefits into the future.”
