Christmas Wish Comes True For Harborough Primary School

Christmas wishes have come true for pupils at a Market Harborough primary school after businesses and the community rallied round.
Youngsters at St Joseph’s Catholic Academy faced having no Christmas dinner all together, as the school hall and kitchen remain closed because of dangerous concrete and they are forced to eat lunch in their classrooms.
Now, following an appeal on HFM, Harborough Town Football Club will host the festive event for no charge, town-based architects YMD Boon will fund the cost of catering – being provided at a discount rate by Keythorpe Event Catering – and coach firms Ausden Clarke and Wilsons will transport pupils and staff there and back for free.

Headteacher Bernadette Dabbs told HFM she has been overwhelmed at the amazing response, which means the whole school will be able to celebrate Christmas together:
Supermarkets in Market Harborough will also be providing some extra surprises for pupils at the event, which will take place in the week before Christmas.
