Written by HFM News on 4th December 2020
Police have donated dozens of toys and books to the Hfm-backed Toys On The Table Christmas appeal.
Money totalling £178, donated by officers and staff at Market Harborough and Wigston police stations, was used to buy them and some donated extra toys themselves.
They were delivered today to Harborough Market, the drop-off point for the appeal this year.
Pc Kev Butler runs the tuck shops at the police stations, with all surplus money raised all going to charity:

There has been an amazing response the appeal this year, which aims to ensure every disadvantaged youngster in Leicestershire has a present to open on Christmas Day when they otherside would not, with hundreds of brand new toys donated since it was launched two weeks ago.
Inspector Siobhán Gorman, neighbourhood policing commander for Harborough and Wigston, told Hfm they wanted to do something to help the community at Christmas, to say thanks for the support they have received in recent months.
