The specialist dinghy has been bought by the charity Sailability, thanks to grants from Sport England and the Market Harborough Building Society’s Charitable Trust.

The charity, based at Pitsford Reservoir, enables people with disabilities to go sailing.

The name of the boat – ‘The Welland Flyer’ – was revealed during a short ceremony.

The Building Society donated £2,400 towards the cost of the boat, which was just over £12,000.
