By-Election Likely After Harborough Councillor Resigns

Another by-election is likely in the Logan ward of Market Harborough after the resignation of a councillor.
Independent member Geraldine Whitmore has stepped down from Harborough District Council for personal reasons, after serving the area for over three years.
She has thanked residents for their support during her time in office.
A by-election will take place if two local electors formally request it.
It would be the second election in five months after the death of long-standing councillor Barbara Johnson triggered a poll in the ward’s other seat in July – which was won by Conservative Paul Bremner.
