Busy Weekend For Firefighters Across Harborough District

An investigation is underway after a large fire at Magna Park near Lutterworth yesterday.

Around 3,000 pallets were destroyed with the plume of smoke visible from miles away.

Fire crews were called just before 11am and spent over six hours dealing with the incident.

Meanwhile, A mobile home meanwhile was destroyed by fire in a Harborough village.

Fire crews were called to Ingarsby Road in Keyham just before midday, with the situation  complicated by the presence of a number of ‘volatile’ shotgun cartridges inside the caravan.

No one was injured and the blaze is thought to have been started accidently.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a car was driven into a hedge and set alight on Friday night.

Fire crews from Market Harborough and Kibworth were called to Main Street in Stonton Wyville just before 8pm to deal with the blaze.

Anyone with information should call Police on 101.

Burnt cooking caused a fire alert at a house in Market Harborough on Saturday night.

The small blaze was out when fire crews arrived at the property on Stuart Road after being called just before 8pm

Firefighters assisted in ventilating the house of the smoke.
