Business Owner Counts Cost Of Ram-Raid
Written by HFM News on 20th August 2018
A Market Harborough business owner is counting the cost of a ram-raid in which power tools worth around £30,000 were stolen.
Major damage was caused Diamond Mowers after a black Lexus car was used to ram into the front of the shop in Sutton Court, off Bath Street, just after midnight on Saturday.
Four thieves were involved in the raid, which was caught on CCTV.
All had their faces covered with tights and loaded chain saws, hedgecutters and strimmers – of the Echo, Stihl and Honda brands – into a white Ford Transit van before fleeing.
It’s the second time in two years the firm has been targeted by thieves and owner Colin Smith told Hfm he’s ‘gutted’.
Anyone with information is urged to call Police on 101
