Completion Of Care Home On Former Cottage Hospital Site Delayed

The completion of a new care home in Market Harborough, on the site of the former Cottage Hospital, has been put back because of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Acacia Care, who began work on the Coventry Road site last summer, originally hoped it would be completed by August, although now say it’s likely to be finished in November, due to ‘supply chain’ issues.

When it opens the 70-bedroom facility, to be called ‘Rosewood Manor,’ will create about 80 jobs.
The World War One Memorial Portico is being incorporated into the new building having been the only part of the old hospital that was not demolished.
