Big Turnout At Eco Question Time Event

Around 70 people attended a Eco Question time event in Market Harborough on Friday night.

A large proportion of the audience were students, including those who took part in a protest in the town centre beforehand, calling for more action to be taken to tackle climate change.

Fielding the questions were Zuffar Haq MBE, Liberal Democrat candidate; Green Party candidate Darren Woodiwiss; Councillor Celia Hibbert, Labour candidate; chair Canon Brian Davis; Professor Heiko Balzter of the University of Leicester; Councillor Phil King, Leader of Harborough District Council; and Rev Andrew Quigley, Environmental Officer for the Diocese of Leicester.

The event was held at the Congregational Hall.
